Course Description:
Latin and ballroom dance is a great form of social and competition dance, danced with a partner. However, you do not need a partner to attend the class. Latin consists of many rhythms including jive, cha-cha, samba, rumba and paso doble, but students will also learn the basics of other rhythms such as salsa, merengue and mambo. Ballroom covers dances such as waltz, quickstep, tango, Viennese waltz and foxtrot. Medal tests can be taken in both styles and there will also be the opportunity to enter competitions.
