Course Description:
Contemporary dance is an artistic form of dance that developed
during the 20th century with artists such as Martha Graham,
Merce Cunningham and most recently, Matthew Bourne. Students will learn the techniques to develop their skills and abilities, enabling them to use their bodies to creatively express ideas using dance.
Courses will include technique classes and will also encourage students to work on devising and improvisation to further their understanding of choreography. This is a compulsory class for students taking GCSE Dance.
